Mr. Worldwide Jeff Cayley presents his custom painted Revel Ranger! The seasoned viewers here know that he is no stranger to building up custom mountain bikes. In years past, he's gone to pretty extreme lengths in order to manifest the bike of his dreams; doing things like cutting the seat tube on a Yeti SB4.5 and hacking the largest cog off a SRAM XX1 Eagle cassette are just a couple of insane things he's done to achieve mountain bike perfection. Thankfully, he hasn't had to make any extremely questionable modifications with his latest creation, however, the bike is no less magnificent. Introducing Jeff's Revel Ranger, custom painted by our friend Tec Gnar.

Drivetrain wise, this latest machine features a SRAM XX1/X01 11 speed drivetrain featuring an X01 11 speed 10-42 cassette along with a black XX1 Eagle chain, an XX1 11 speed shifter and derailleur and topped off with e*thirteen XCX cranks. Bringing this steed to a stop are the polished SRAM G2 Ultimate brakes with carbon levers and Centerline X Rotors. RockShox's SID Ultimate fork smooths out the trail along with their SIDLuxe rear shock. This bike is rolling on BERD's new HAWK27 wheels laced to an Industry Nine Hydra hub. Tire wise on a bike like this, Jeff prefers to run the Maxxis Dissector in the front along with a Rekon in the rear. A Wolf Tooth ReMote is mated to a carbon fiber KS dropper post that is topped with a WTB Silverado saddle for dropper post duties.

I prefer racing dirt track cars now that I am 40, but graduating from BMX to MX to old and fat...I respect that!

The only thing dreamier than that build is Jeff himself.

I feel you on the 11 speed. I was totally happy with a dialed 11 speed drivetrain last year.

That is one pretty bike! My go-to bike is also 115mm in the back and 11 speed SRAM, but I have an old Fox Talas 120/140 up front. Code brakes too. I also love the Dissector tires and run them on the back of both my mountain bikes. It's also in the 26 lbs range, with lots of carbon.

Been riding a Spur with 120mm front and rear for over a year and it also fits perfectly with the terrain I ride on. It's super light at 12kg while big enough to handle any trail with its slack geo (66° HT angle). I also love the Sid 35mm and the Sidlux even though they look tiny, plenty stiff.
