RPG Maker Game Troubleshooting

I had a weird game once, which would fail to create a save-file/system file in applocale, but it managed to work after running the game once on the japanese version. Afterwards I just returned to the normal langauge and was able to run it in applocale.

Guys, i'm trying to make this game work for months, i literraly tried everything.
One time i followed instructions of one german guy, it worked, but the game was missing some worlds (the library and some others).
then i gave up.
recently i ve been trying again.
i've read tons of comments and forums. currently i have:
- yume 2kki 0.107 ((says it's missing RTP or some bullshit)
- Japanese RPG maker 2000 (wich crashes at 44%)
- easy RPG (some guy in the comments said it helps)
- RPG MAKER VX ACE
- RPG MAKER 2000
- Locale Emulator

I wish these games werent so ridiculously hard to set up...even the Easy RPG Player doesn't work with Yume 2kki, and that was recommended as being much easier in the wiki.
I'll give it a 5th try later on but this is just getting tiring man

I've tried this and i still can't for the life of me get Yume 2kki to run. It still keeps saying I don't have the RTP installed

i've never seen the language of anything change just by changing the system local. and skype is getting more irrelevant by the day as discord improves.

1:25 or click the link directly below that is on screen that says "if you already joined..."

i have windows 10 and have no problems (something may have changed since this video was made)

NitroRad, are you going to review one weird game made in RPG Maker called Toilet In Wonderland? It has the same level of weirdness like Yume Nikki but it's not scary.

Some fixes, if this video doesn't work for you:
1. Set your system locale to Japanese BEFORE extracting any .zip files.
2. If your RTP isn't working, you may need to download the Japanese version of the RTP. If the RTP comes in a .zip folder, you'll need to set your system locale to Japanese before extracting it too.
3. If you're on Windows, you might need to set the compatibility mode for the game's .exe to an earlier version of Windows. (On Windows 10, you can right click on the .exe, go to "Properties, " and go to "Compatibility".)

alright umm i downloaded locale emulator because applocale doesn't work, i tried running yume 2kki in japanese and it says it requires rpg maker 2000, i tried installing that as well and whenever i do it progresses until 44 percent and then stops, when i tried running it with locale emulator it shows the circle next to the cursor to show that it's loading and then doesn't do anything, when i try deleting the file that has the installer it says that the file is already in use despite nothing happening. do i have to change the region to install the rpg maker 2000 as well and if i did change it will i be able to find the way back english or will everything be in japanese ? is there an english version of rpg maker 2000 ? ive tried looking through the wiki and can't seem to find the answer or im doing something wrong but im not aware of it. any help would be appreciated !!!

Ok so I'm not very tech savvy here but...why is it that every time I try to download a horror rpg game, it downloads rpg maker vx rtp??

Yume 2kki- even when using all of the above methods and more, it still won't work for me on Windows _10_
I should probably see if another game works using the same methods of If i should just invest in another version of Windows entirely. English computer optimized versions of Yume Nikki and fan games such as Answered Prayers and Me work just fine though.

EDIT: I tried the fangame Ultra Violet using the methods and it worked right up until I made it to this certain event where the screen faded to white, and then it crashed. .Flow seemed to work just fine all the way through, so at this point I'm confused.

Another EDIT: I manually switched my computer's locale to Japanese and the RPG Make 2000 and 2003 runtimes installed correctly. After switching my locale back to English then I was able to use Locale Emulator (a Windows 10 substitute for Applocale, because Applocale does not work in Windows 10) to run Yume 2kki and it ran perfectly.

hey!!! I noticed mogeko castle is like an Okegom RPG Game, but do you know how to open Wadanohara and the great blue sea? Ive tried installing the 2000 rpg maker and it still doesnt work. How do you fix this?

hey, for some reason when I open any RPG maker games, when I'm able to move the character would always go to the top left of the screen, when I disabled my Razer Viper Ultimate Dongle from bluetooth and remove device it starts to work. Is there any way to keep the dongle in bluetooth, like deleting a file or something

I've been trying to play the game OFF, but it doesn't let me use the arrow keys. Keyboard input seems to be wacky, it only allows the alt key (works at the enter key) and the keys n, b, v, and c to work as backspacke. Nothing else works. :/
