Atlas Sound AP-15TUC Red Fire Alarm Horn Overview

Testing out an Atlas Sound AP-15TUC fire alarm horn with music and paging. Sounds crisp and clear with music and page, plus its red which is not common with intercom horns.

I got a couple of these but they're gray and are Soundolier branded. They work perfect on my Wheelock SAFEPATH system!

Atlas horns are some of the best in the game! And on a side note about Lowe's, I've always hated how they have the music zoned off from the horns in the garden center and in the back alleyway behind the store. At stores that use them, they have these AP horns turned up to a deafening level sometimes.

There are two gray variants of this speaker in my HS’s gymnasium. You may know what high school I go to. It also has those round ceiling speakers. I have no clue what the brand is. Some are white and some are silver. There are some Lowell? flush mount ceiling speakers that look like circular air vents. They’re colored white and there’s one colored silver. The original 1970s PA system control console is a RAULAND; that was unfortunately replaced with an ATLAS system in early 2022.

I went a Kmart that four of those fire alarm horns on a column as part of their fire alarm system, obviously to direct the sound in all directions. I don’t know whether they were Atlas or not, though.

Is the new horn installations in the school for voice evac or page? You mentioned that they replaced Wheelock AS horn/strobes.

There's the same exact type at my school but it was smashed by a basketball and the sound was extremely muffled and staticky

I seen these but grey version in a Lowes It doesn’t sound clear at all they should replace it
