repeat the pattern above to make another aplique

the aplique to connect: 2:37
slip knot
R1: ch6, 5sc [5]
R2-R41: ch1, turn, 5sc (40 rows) [5]
fasten off, cut the yarn and leave a long tail (about 24 inches)

sew the apliques together, as shown in the video 4:24

making the lid: 9:07
insert hook in the stitch before the seam
R1: ch1 and make 1sc in that stitch
... 16sc (in the last row of the aplique)
... make sc into the stitch after seam (in total there should be 18 single crochet)
R2-R11: ch1, turn, 18sc (10 rows) [18]
R12: ch1, turn, 1dec, 14sc, 1dec [16]
R13: ch1, turn, 1dec, 12sc, 1dec [14]

edging: 11:49
insert hook into the very first row of the lid.
ch1 and make 1sc into same stitch,
make 1sc each into next rows, 12sc in total,
insert hook just right below the last sc,
insert into 1sc of last row of the lid and make 1dc,
1sc into each stitch [12 sc]

make 12 sc by making 1sc into each row

bear nose:
magic ring
R1: 6sc in mr, 1 slst [6]
R2: ch1, 6inc [12]
cut the yarn and weave, watch video 16:58

ears:
magic ring and ch2
7hdc in mr [7]
make 2ch and 1 slst into mr
pull yarn and cut yarn w long tail

sew ears on 12th row counting from the edging 21:08

here are some tips (from what i’ve done so far) before you get any crochet things you should definitely start off with the beginner friendly step by step tutorials just like lil things yt videos.. that’s where i started learning the abbreviations and how to do them! i then went on to mahum (all not getting any crochet stuff not even holding a crochet hook before) and started seeing the different patterns and techniques i definitely learned lots from both mahum and lil things (both on yt) and now i’m on this video and i understand fully ! but if i was starting with her i would definitely be confused because (as i would think) it’s not so much of a starter STARTER beginner friendly tut so if you want to you should try to follow these tips! 🫶🏽🫶🏽

That worked out so well tysm! Instead of a face i added a button hole and will sew on a button for a different look. The design looks rlly clean and it has a good structure! Definitely uses more yarn than a suuuper basic project but its definitely worth it!
