We always make sure the car is running when we use a power washer on the engine and I noticed you didn't have the engine running what so ever so I am curious on why you don't or if you do the same thing? I am trying to learn more about engine detailing as I have been told it is something you need to be careful on doing due to certain things that need to be avoided getting wet. Any ways keep up the good work on the videos man. I watch them as much as I can just to learn even more then what I already know.

When u clean any engine bay, do u protect any the electronics or they wont get damage from the cleaning products and or the water?? My engine look fairly clean but i would love to do a deep cleaning just like that one!!!

My engine bay has anodized parts such as fuel rail, blowoff valve, and dipstick. I was instructed to NOT use any type of degreaser but just use some soap and warm water.

Hey Luke I was wondering why you use stoner tire shine ? Stoner makes a trim shine too and that works great that’s what I use .have you tried it before ? If so what’s the different between the two ?

Hey bro you don’t cover the battery up just to be safe? I’m new to the channel so I’m not sure if you have a video cleaning an older engine with less plastic covers where you explain what you cover up.

Do you ever have issues with your electric pressure washer cutting off due to the sun? I live outside of Philly and it's been around 90 degrees daily. My pressure washer would work for an hour and just cut out.

Another great video Luke! Are you not using diluted VRP any more for engine bays? Not having a pressure washer I do a similar process on the family cars, but I make a bucket of sudsy car soap and squeeze it out of a sponge all over the engine for a quick touchless wash. Pressure washer and foam cannon are on the wish list for sure! :-)

Purple power will dry rot the rubber unless its completely rinsed off. Problem is you cant get in all the nooks and crany by just washing it down with water. Therefore PP will still be present in some areas.

Best way to clean is steamer and towel

Isn’t pressure washing the engine bay quite bad for all of the electrical components in it? Yeah it’s a modern car with a lot of plastic covers here and there but still.. also the chemical dressing at the end is definitely not helping about the engine bay’s cleanliness in the “long run”. Dirt and grime sticks to it quite easily. Other than that, cool video.
