Here's how I joined a series of wooden semicircles together using wooden dowels.

This is a follow-on video from one I made on bent laminating the semicircles.

Thanks a lot for this video, gave me a great idea. I will be making two round tables with a diameter of 32 inches, they will have a base plywood board and on top of it I will make a herringbone pattern using 1x3" pine boards, the resulting border will be a little ugly so I want to hide it with wood. Still deciding if I use a 1"x2"x8', cut it in half and bend the two parts to semicircles with cold water or if I use three 1/4" x 2"x8' moulding strips, which are easier to bend, and then make a jig like yours.

-4 Carl, Nicely done! How well does this work if the arcs are steam bent? Thinking of Thonet, usually scarf the joint.

Nice clear video! Just curious. What is the project that uses these laminated circles ?
Thanks!
