I used to own one of these 1800 GSR’s. It was a 1994 Evo 2 shape but had the 4G93T in it.
I did a 3 inch exhaust, cool air intake and 17 PSI boost, and it ran a 13.35 second quarter mile at Meremere drag way in NZ.

It was the most fun car I’ve ever owned. Those shorter gear and diff ratios are well suited for drag racing. Maybe not so much for circuit though.

The stock TD04 turbo causes boost creep because the internal waste-gate is too small. So it really needs an external waste-gate or better flowing internal one.

Love how Luke says " we're " going to have to do this to it and then that to it, Never seen him work on a car yet!! So I guess he means Jordy and Broomy. ; )

The biggest issue with having stuff injection moulded is the cost of the dies. Something that size would be astronomically expensive, think around 20-30k in Canadian pesos. Just my 2 cents

G25-550 you will never regret it. Will probably have the same spool as the stock turbo but way more mid range and bonus top end.

Good to see your making progress! By the way, did you get bitten by the mosquito @12:25 in this video floating around your battery box ? :)

ECU with torque limiting is how you don't blow up gearboxes. Remove the big spike in torque just as the turbo spools, that's what all the OEMs do. That and mechanical parts such as rubber donut drivetrain couplers, clutch delay valves and so forth to limit shock loads.

You can bolt a gsr box into a vr4 not the other way around. Evo 3 gearbox runs double synchro 1st and 2nd gear. Stock box should be good for 400hp. Remove air flow meter run map sensor, temp sensor and wideband oxygen sensor through maf sensor inputs

Had one from a Renault Laguna for mine with some trimming, imported from France. My supplier ran out so not sure what to do now.

FYI on why it's hard to re-manufacture parts in plastic. It's cost. Put in perspective. a Simple bottle for a consumer product is sold at say 25-30 cents etc to the customer. Who fills it with product and ships it and end up at coles or wollies for $5
Yet the Dies for the product and other items will cost anywhere from $5K to $25K to on some mega constant made hi volume items 100K . but then they will make every 12 seconds 10 bottle or 20 bottles or items. 24/7. so that 30cents adds up.
From memory the Injection Stretch Blowmould Coke bottles are done at under 1cent cost. At one stage maybe have succeeded to 0.1 cent due to imported preform plastic from China.
Just the moulds for a injection machine made for your car part, or other and all car parts . It is fine when they are new and they make say 10K and sell on cars. Or they make 100K cars and said product. but low volume? It's why Aston Martin DB7 uses Mazda 323 Astina BG taillights.
It's all cost. Plastics are a lot cheaper than before but still one change without people realizing it is, simpleton designs.
Look at 80's tail lights has shapes and contours and varying surfaces. but 90's they were smooth and less complicated. That is cost cutting. Like plastic lenses over the glass.
The cheapest way to recreate it would be in a low cost wax or foam mould. Then use the mould to create a FRP version. Even possible use the mould to create a Polyurethane version if you have -plug to form it's other side. that would be closer to the more flexible LDPE or PP version
3D printers might be the way but until they are more common in sizes large enough to make large size parts.- They are out there, just not affordable yet.

Also for coil on plug I recommend spark tech they do direct plug and play and i haven't had any issue, though I'm only at 420awhp

you should have got the 5pin (4wire bosch sensor) that does temp and pressure. They are exactly the same price from EFIHARDWARE. 2 birds one stone, one less connector to deal with.

As far as that lip is concerned a company in West footscray called entegro, ( also supplied the rubber and metal foot pedals and fuel nozzles for holden and ford, when they were around ) they can do it and all those companies which make rubber or plastic mud flaps from the trucking industry can do it, it will cost a mint though, but then the more you make the more you can sell, its that simple supply and demand, if the demand is there, then go for it. :)

When’s the F truck getting finished and driven?

With that lip, you could get it 3D scaned and 3D printed which surely would be cheaper for a low volume part. I have not done this before, but would like to with a few plastic parts.

Hey bro looking on some info, I have the base model 1995 lancer gl and am wondering if you knew what size speakers fit in the back? It's got cut outs for some and I removed the seats, wondering if the gsr came with some stock or they didn't bother since it was more performance based lol cheers man hoping you get to see this

Rotational molding is a lot cheaper than injection molding
