Randy, my second car was a 98 Bonneville, that car scooted! I had a single inlet dual outlet muffler put on there with square tips. It was a beast for the time!!! Loved it!!!

We had the Contour in the rental fleet at the Company I work for and they actually were one of the better cars we had only thing customers despised the roll up windows. Neighbor across the street has one of the 1st year model when it came out and it seems to do ok for her

When someone came up with the catch phrase" It's a Jeep thing" they were talking about all the stuff that goes wrong with a Jeep. Jeep owners know this and are well aware of what that phrase represents.

Ford Contour was my first car ever. All I can say is it survived 17-year-old me driving it. Top speed runs, full throttle pulls. I had that car up until I was about 23.

I have a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport with the 4.0 straight 6 and automatic transmission. Owned it since 2010. Been a solid daily driver. No blown head gasket (as of yet), no transmission issues either (knocking on wood). The radiator did spring a leak a couple of years ago, I replaced that. The steering gear box has just started to leak at the steering wheel shaft seal, getting a couple of drips every so often. That's a project I'll be taking on in a few weeks as I keep the fluid topped off. Debating between rebuilding the gear box myself (the seals are pretty cheap), or perhaps going with a RedHead.

I had many 4.0 jeeps, never a head gasket issue, over 300k on them and the engines were never apart.
