Minke whales are small baleen whales that constitute the genus Pterobalaena, they are primarily native to the polar oceans and are known for being the smallest living rorquals, there are two species of minke whale: the Arctic Minke Whale (Pterobalaena acutorostrata) and the Antarctic Minke Whale (Pterobalaena bonaerensis).
