I absolutely love graphics, I am the target audience for this machine but for $700 it’s a really hard sell at that price.

I loaded up my saved data for TLOU2 Remastered on my PS5, and on a pretty standard LG 4K TV, went to this exact portion of the game, aimed with Ellie in the same exact place she’s standing, and my image is not this blurry at all. I think Sony is pulling a fast one on us. It’s almost as if Sony is purposefully, putting out blurry images to try to prove that the PRO is better in someway, but again it is not at all. They’re just presenting it as if it is.

I could see the word Fedra, very clearly on the top sign, and on the bottom sign I can see the word processing very clearly. And the window is an iron grate, not a window made of glass.

This was the nail in the coffin for me as far as consoles go. Been waiting patiently with my PS5 for years now, and all ive been playing is remakes or cross gen stuff. Its been a good ride Sony, but im out.

Common guys it’s time to move to pc if you don’t care about aesthetic and focus only maxing out performance you can build a pretty good rig for 800$

People saying they can’t immediately tell the difference between 1440p and 4k… blows my mind. Even without the quality changes. Just the resolution bump is clear as day.

You just described the difference between Ultra and Medium settings for most games on PC.
Spending $700 on a proprietary console that is nearing the end of its generation and will be obsolete in 2-3 years makes no sense. Atleast for GPUs, you can use it for any title in the past 3 decades and decades into the future

It honestly looks better with some of the blur from the base ps5. For instance if you go to any photo in your album and just crank up the sharpness, at some point you’re going to say, this looks weird, and you will dial it back. Imo the added detail and sharpness from the pro performance makes it look less real

My only worry is going to be what the difference in performance looks like on future UE5 games going forward into the later half of this console generation. The pc gaming space is already seeing incompetence with devs relying on upscaling to provide a playable experience on some newer titles and Im worried that we will start to see titles that rely too heavily on PSSR to provide a good experience which could leave the base PS5 in the dust with a noticeable downgrade because the games were never made with native resolutions in mind.

I own a PS5 Pro with Disk and 4TB expansion. Plus my old PS5. Both in a OLED 55inch 120hz 4K Sony TV.
Ive had both consoles in via the two 4k 120hz ports and can tell you that you absolutely can tell the difference. You dont need to pause the game to figuire it out. Everything is just more detail and water, reflections, light etc all look amazing.

Those who say they cant see the difference probably are biased from the get go, really. And i get that people including myself were anoyed at the lack of DVD and stand..

But i said to myself, with GTA 6 being released and optimised for PS5 Pro plus its likely going to be another 4 years before PS6 gets released.

I know for a fact i'll get my moneys worth and this will likely stop me buying a PS6 and wait until the PS6 Pro.
