California, The legislative findings in section 6309(a) express a deep concern for the risk of litigation abuse and undue delay occasioned by discovery proceedings in DVRO cases. In consequence, the legislature made two things crystal-clear: (1) civil discovery in DVRO matters is not permitted except as set forth in section 6309 and (2)"a court may grant a request for discovery only upon a showing of good cause" (Section 6309(c) (emphasis supplied).) So no discovery as a matter of right. And litigants wanting discovery had better be prepared to make a strong showing of good cause. No abstract fishing expeditions

Little known fact about there being 12 Articles proposed in the Bill of Rights. Drives me nuts when the free speech people say the made the 1A first because it was most important, which is nonsense. Article the First was about the number of people per representative, which they screwed up the arithmetic on unfortunately. Article 2 involved pay raises for Congress not being effective until the next term that was ratified in the 90s

The State of Nevada is very proficient at violating the the 8th, 9th, and 10th Amendments! It has subverted power by taking the "Safety Clause" to do away with the "Use of Public Property no permission necessary Clause of the Nevada State Constitution", and Washoe County passed an ordanence that it is unlawful to have projects ( such as restoring a car or storing car parts ), or the homeless in your private property! In essence making all public and public property the property of the Representative Body!
