Recently had one of my nurses ask me how to make push-dose epinephrine from a vial (Because we can't always crack the crash cart). This video explains the two step process to make the dilution process simple.

Hi doc, hope you are well. Just watched the dirty epi drip and this one as well. Few questions from my side. In Southern Africa EMS we use mostly 1mg/ml adrenaline. To make a “dirty drip” we extract 1ml N/S from 200ml IV bag. Add one amp of adrenaline giving 5mcg/ml. Using 60dropper one can have 5mcg/min via IV. Would you recommend this? Safer? Or just go via pump.?

How about you just use a 10ml syringe with 9ml NS and draw up 1ml of epi 1:10000? Then you dont have to “do it twice.”
