Moment baby elephant is born at California zoo

The moment a baby elephant was born at the Fresno Chafee Zoo in California was caught on video by a surveillance camera early Monday morning.

The zoo announced that mother elephant Amahle gave birth to her calf Tuesday morning.

This is the second calf born recently at the zoo after a nearly 2 year-long wait.

The other female was standing gaurd. In the wild the femals would encircle the mom to protect while giving birth. They are lovely and amazing creatures ❤

The other adult in the video is the mother of the elephant giving birth! So that other little calf is the one giving births brother and the new babies uncle. Even more interesting, both of the new calves have the same dad so they bred the same male elephant with a mother and her daughter. Making the calved half brothers and uncle/nephew! Thats some Game of Thrones stuff right there!
