So obviously you couldn't get anywhere near Thwaites with the vicious outburst currents and exploding ice shelf.
No mention of the ice cliff failure over 100 km Inland to My Takahe and the dozen or so awakened volcanos we can see erupting out of 3 km thick ice between where you were on Dotson, and the Activated Mt Takahe erupting from a new vent on the coastal side?
You'd think checking on those would be a priority.
Did none of you look at the SAR, or even Google Earth? Or were you told not to talk about them?
Looked like a bloody holiday cruise.
Only every living thing on Earths lives at stake here. Rather not be bothered using the helicopter?
Friggen heck.
Go have a look around on Google Earth viewers.
You'll learn more than these schoolchumps did.
There's frames of the Ash Clouds and pyroclastic flows when you zoom in.
Icecliff failure dumping the water table pressure by 4000psi on a superplume Volcanic field bigger than Yellowstone will do this kind of thing.
Takahe for example is a 5000m ultra, similar but more voluminous than Killamanjaro, with a 12km summit Caldera.
Just one of a few hundred recently active vents in the Marie Byrd Land volcanic field.
