This was not at all helpful. Your direction to " loop it around itself" was not seeable and you assumed Your audience knew what you meant. You did not show which way to loop the strings around themselves. Nor did you show what a correctly wound string looked like. Not a helpful video. Redo with closeups!

🐨G’day John, nail clippers are my knot trimming tip for those too impoverished to own a Pro winder. If you leave ‘tails’ on your knots then tie the top 2 + bottom 2 at the bridge so that all 4 ‘tails’ face towards the middle of the bridge…..then slip the tail ends through the other knots before tightening up. It’s a bit of a faff-around but it stops loose tails jabbing your forearm & looks neat. That said, nail trimmers / pro winder-trimmers do a very nice job if you’re good at it (8-string ukes really need that ‘neat’ knot trim).

"....the most important thing to do is just wipe your fretboard, and other parts of your ukulele, to make sure they're clean..." Wipe it _but with what?_
Which particular medium and solutions, are suitable for which specific parts?
I'm only a noob, but am assuming that since strings, machine heads, frets, fretboards are all made of different materials, one particular method can't be suitable for the entire instrument. So.... cloth, brush, abrasive material, kitchen detergent, hand soap, acid, alkali, neutral, oils, alcohols, polishes, lacquers, lava, av. gas, unicorn pee, flame-thrower, sand other? (I know saliva is commonly used in the cleaning and restoration of old oil paintings.)
Any constructive direction would be helpful. 🙂

If you used a low G shouldn't the g string sound lower?

Once I had to find out how to make a secure knot at the end of the strings, because it was not possible to fix them with loops. A few days later, while tuning, the knot of one of the strings just went thought the hole. Because I cut the string, I had to replace it... and find a better knot 😬

Now I purchased a Chinese made kit. I wanted it to actually play. I could have used more tools to make it all fit. Here's the thing. I'm sure I can still play it. I don't have any experience that Music class in Elementary school taught me.😂. That being said. My main question is. Strings. I have a set that came with the kit. I would assume that the arrangement would be thickest to the top lowering to the bottom string. As Guitars are stringed. I have a few sets of Guitar strings I would like to fit. Should I just experiment? Is the sound from each of your restring the typical or no? I admit I'm in a complete confusion and admit that I don't know shit. 😂 Help if you're up to it. I'm thinking of following the Labels on the supplied strings for now.

Very poor instruction. Cannot see what is being done. Find a better video, like Cordoba’s video.

Anyone wondering if this video is worth your time? My opinion: there are much better informative and helpful videos, this one does not specify the details needed to tie a proper knot at the bottom of the uke.

Really? Remove this video. This is a confusing mess! What end do you start with?? Wherever you start, explain that is where you start.
