Well, Segway didn't "Do It". Sur-Ron did. This isn't Segway's idea/engineering/etc...Segway is just a reseller. For those interested, and wold like to save a couple grand on one, go with the Sur-Ron - they have been available for a while now.

What’s even worse is that Segway is exaggerating the range and perf numbers for marketing but really it’s the same as sur Ron

Induction motors don’t have permanent magnets in them. Tesla was making those A decade ago. They’re less efficient, and they’re definitely not new by any means.

You can actually buy a much better bike from Sur-Ron, avoid the segway unless you just want to pay more for less.
