Wish I had this video last year when I did this! Huge help, love the quality and hard work you put into this car let alone to film and edit these videos, thank you!!

I bought this kit for my 2014 XJL last year, but was putting off the job, until my main Y-Pipe started leaking last week... so this is my job this weekend! Thanks for the video, will be watching as I work, and have subbed!

Thanks for sharing. My wife and I just started pulling everything apart this week to replace the plastic pipes and thermostat housing.

That's the same kit that I got!
I had it installed by very experienced independent Jaguar specialists.
Certainly provides some peace of mind knowing it's in there.

I should add that I did not use the SC coupler that came with the kit. I ordered a genuine Eaton coupler from eBay instead.

Another quality video especially for us 6 banger F Type owners. I particularly l especially like the engineering approach and commentary. The unboxing with supplier and costs are really helpful. Looking forward to videos that will follow. Though impressed with the hood removal I think I will get help removing mine.

I would inspect the rear header internally for internal flashings of the water passage ways. Restricting flow. And confirm the leg bore diameter is the same as the plastic original. See any of the Jaguar forums of the aj133/aj126.

Fair play on creating a very meticulous video…I’ve just completed the complete strip down and waiting for the parts, almost identical to yours, to arrive. I took a slightly different approach leaving the supercharger/cooler etc. to the end of the tear down. Having seen the amount of coolant in the engine block looks to be a good idea to drain also..keep them coming..will make a great resource and reference for the future. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you for explaining so thoroughly. Just what I need right now. In the subsequent videos, please show the torquing sequence of the supercharger top (cooler). I have just finished installing the oil catch can which was a nightmare as there was no space to work. ( Mine is the S ). One question, please. Should I also replace the water pump? My car only has 17000 miles on the clock from new. (2016 model), never mixed coolant.

Thank you. Btw if you introduce copper or bronze into the system isn't there any probability that potential galvanic corrosion would be in the cooling system?

There is something I don't understand, the manifold is equipped with air/water cooling but there is only one tank? Does this mean that the intake temperatures are equivalent to that of the coolant? Excuse me if there are any mistakes, I am French 🙂

Great video. Nice tutorial. I'm actually doing this exact job which I started today. Mine is a Type R but I imagine the process is exactly the same, just everything is a little larger for the 2 extra cylinders. So even with a big drain pan the coolant made a decent mess after releasing the engine drain plug. So question, I'm having a heck of time getting the drain plug started in the block. Access is not good since I can't get hand up there to get the bolt/plug started. So I'm a little stuck at the moment. Any suggestions or good tips how you got the bolt started so you can tighten it back up and did you by any chance get the torque spec? Thanks

Jaguar gave almost no consideration to mechanical packaging. Even the front hinged bonnet is so stupid
