(S2 E11) How To Display Your Toy Collection

In this episode of #MrSteviesTallToyTales, join me as I rearrange some of my toy shelves and share with you the various tools and principles I use to effectively display my #toy #collection

Every time you post a new video I think to myself, “this is my favorite!” You always find a way to make the topic interesting! I love your thought process when you display! As a side note, when I’m setting up a display and a figure decides to get rebellious and knock others down, I also take a deep breath but then I leave the room for a few minutes and go dance to a song. That instantly changes my mood and I return in a better mood than I was when I started! Thank you for another great episode! 👏👏

Great Episode Mr. Stevie! Ahhh, the great fall of figures. It happens to us all. Sometimes I have to just walk away and pick up the pieces after a break. But it's so rewarding to get the new display setup. We love your Detolfs they look awesome.

Great episode. I felt that domino effect deep in my core 😅 I do similar displays in my Detolfs (Detolves?), with bleachers and installations, and for installations, I like to play with the scales, with 12" figures in the back, with 7" or deluxe figures in front of them, then 6", then 3.75" at the front, or even a few Lego Minifigures. It fills the space nicely without using risers (which reminds me I need to buy some risers...)

Interesting that you called the risers 'Bleachers' because I always called them this too. I have purchased many of these over the years, but now I have a 3D printer and make my own custom sizes and styles that I want, including figure stands too. I also use the 'Installation' saying, as in like a 'museum installation'! Funny how we all seem to use similar phrases to describe these things. Great tip about the Sticky Wax, I have used Blu Tac and White Tac over the years, but sometimes this can stain some white figures. So off to Amazon I go to order some sticky wax. Great tip about having the figures looking at the viewer and each other. Some displays I will have action poses, like my X-Men Legends will all be action posed, but also all face the viewer. So I am going to get in there next weekend or one evening this week and make some changes to see if it makes a difference. Love seeing your display, so nostalgic for me too being the same age, Thanks for the video!

If you live in America (WEST COAST), you can go to a japanese store known as Daiso and they usually have figure stands.

I hate the domino effect!! It's always the last figure you're placing that causes it too.

10:50 oh brother!! That domino effect when you’re not in the mood is horrendous!! I have taken my collection and thrown it straight to the floor and walked out of the room only to return and kick it and then walk back out again! Oh yeah!!
