🏎️ The debate over who should have replaced Sergio Perez at Red Bull was already fierce last season—Tsunoda, a consistent performer for RB since 2021, or Lawson, a rising star who impressed in his limited outings. Now, it looks like Red Bull’s decision to go with Lawson is being reversed just two races into the season.

📉 Lawson has struggled so far, failing to escape Q1 and yet to score points in a car that’s considered one of the strongest on the grid. With Red Bull locked in a tight championship battle, the pressure is on to maximize both cars' performance—leading to this sudden shake-up.

💬 Christian Horner has offered both support and subtle pressure, acknowledging Lawson’s struggles while emphasizing the team’s need for both drivers to be scoring. And with Honda representatives involved in crucial talks, it’s no surprise that Tsunoda—who has long been backed by Honda—may now be getting his big break at his home race.

🇯🇵 A dream opportunity for Tsunoda? Honda has been pushing for their driver to step up, and the timing couldn’t be better. But will he be able to adapt to the Red Bull so quickly? Max Verstappen himself has said the car is notoriously tough to drive—could Tsunoda face the same struggles as Lawson?

❓ What do you think about this shocking seat swap? Is it the right call, or is Red Bull making yet another knee-jerk decision? Let us know in the comments! Don’t forget to like, subscribe! 🚀🔥

So Yuki gets "rewarded" for an excellent start to the season by being "promoted" to a car that's almost undriveable - even Max is having trouble with it. Let's hope it doesn't unfairly tank Yuki's career and reputation, too....
Making this switch after two abnormal weekends (one a washout, one a sprint weekend) is beyond insanity, however.

To be honest it would be a "promotion" to Liam because he is atleast getting a car which is drivable. Good luck to both 🤞

I think they should put a random newborn baby in the second Red Bull

I just hope it works out for Yuki seriously he deserves it 🙏🏼

Technically, this should be called a "promotion" for Yuki, but in reality he will be given a much more difficult car to drive, only potentially quicker than his current car. He will be forced to accept the position offered to him by RBR, and if he does, let him do his best. He deserves it anyway.

I won't be surprised Liam will be gone from RBR but last time everybody and their grandma figured Yuki would get the seat and it was Liam so I wait with celebrating for Yuki until it is official.

Lawson in the VCARB will finish ahead of Hadjar and Yuki and with points...

I just get the feeling Yuki will also struggle it’s not a driver problem it’s a car problem but I think Yuki will be a bit better

"BREAKING: Yuki Tsunoda to Replace Liam Lawson at Red Bull"

Hasn't been officially confirmed yet. Do not word video titles in a way that emphasizes as if it has been officially confirmed (when they're not).

I'm fully expecting to see Yuki struggle in the 2nd redbull seat given how favourable the car is towards Max's driving style but damn does Yuki deserve to be there.

It’s confirmed now. Yuki will be Red Bull’s 2nd driver starting with Japan.

Poor Yuki, demoted to the undriveable RB21 that even Max is having trouble with.
I can't shake the image of a poisoned pill tbh.
Hope Yuki can make the car work tbh, he deserves it.

Watch it's going to be, “Yuki we have seen you have been really good in the visa car and we are proud to announce, you will be staying in the visa car and Isack will be driving the Red Bull”

Edit: didnt age well.

Do you want a terrible car with decent strategies or a pretty good car with the worst strategies?
