Introducing the next generation of Diamond Pedals! The Comp/EQ, Drive, Tremolo and Memory Lane all have classic Diamond DNA in their solder joints and are proudly made in Canada and housed in a smaller enclosure with soft-touch true bypass, high quality components and the analog circuits can accept up to 18v for increased headroom.

01:23 Welcome Back!
01:50 Series Overview

21:53 Diamond Tremolo

The Diamond Drive is a natural sounding, wide ranging overdrive based around a Burr-Brown op-amp. Just like the J-Drive, a Warm switch engages a shelf filter at 1KHz to tame a bright amp or help put the finishing touch on your settings. The active Bass and Treble are Baxandall based filters located post-gain, a powerful set of controls that can boost or cut and their interactivity results in changes to midrange content as well be it scooped or boosted.

The Comp/EQ (available in bass version) takes Diamond’s coveted yellow box to new heights while still preserving all the chewiness of their original Optical compression circuit. For starters, the original quick attack can be achieved with the flick of a switch while the status LED tells you how aggressive the comp is setting in. A new slower attack option has been added for a more transparent experience and is a perfect match for those wanting subtle, studio style compression. Finally, Diamond has added their famous Tilt EQ to the compressor which is a one stop shop for bass boost/cut or treble boost/cut while a Mid control centered at 800 Hz can enhance any amp you plug into by boosting or cutting by 10dB.

The Diamond Memory Lane needs no introduction, as it was one of the first boutique delays to push the possibilities of Bucket Brigade Delay in terms of fidelity and features. With their new dBBD, that’s right Digital Bucket Brigade Technology, the compact Memory Lane still employs analog companding and anti-alias filtering with RAM storage instead of capacitors. What this means is that the sought after warmth is still available but now with twice the delay time and lower noise. Dual footswitches offer tap tempo with subdivisions, classic modulation with depth and delay time doubling on the fly. Plus, you can select from 3 different delay modes/lines that suit your style while advanced settings let you choose options like trails or momentary or latching operation.

The Diamond Tremolo has long been a favorite of mine ever since I showed you what it could do back in the earliest demo days! The Compact version still uses an opto-isolator to generate true 60s amp-style tremolo while a second FET-based Chopper circuit provides kill-switch patterns or momentary bursts in Dicer Mode. The center toggle cycles up through 3 tap divisions while pressing down select from 4 waveforms: Sine, Shark, Square or the FET Chopper. Holding Tap will double the rate while holding Bypass unleashes Insta-Chop and can be setup to be momentary/latching.My favorite feature of the original Trem was the Rhythmic patterns which are still included in a 11 position knob, unleashing a new world of song inspiring pulses not to mention Chopped accents to keep your sounds in the pocket.

Super happy to see the Diamond legacy continued. Their comp jr has been my go to for the better part of a decade. The new controls on the Comp are a fantastic addition as well.

I've got a bookmark all the way back from 2009 with your demo of the Diamond Tremolo. Good to know it's back, now I actually have money to spend on things like that. Funny how all these things come around eventually.

These pedals sound fantastic. It helps me hearing them together as well as hearing them played individually. The price is about right. If I recall, these average at 200.00 each.

The big box Memory Lane will always be my dream Pedal to acquire. The new drive and tremolo pedals sound so good. Can’t wait to get them. Also, cool to see the Malekko Ekko in the background ^_^

I agree with all the praise for Andy, the guy is one of a kind. These pedals aren’t cheap but I think they’re still worth the price. I could use a good comp and drive pedal so I have to try these for myself.
Thanks for the perfect demonstration of the pedals.

I missed out on the O.G. Diamond stuff. I'm already trying to justify the new Comp and Memory Lane. Bring on the Vibrato next Diamond!

My ideal delay tone is Gilmour on Pulse. Big, punchy, percussive and warm. I was definitely hearing that in modern mode. That’s what sold me on it.
