This is a travel guide of Kansas City, Missouri. Most of this travel guide focuses on downtown Kansas City. We don't actually go over to the Kansas City, Kansas side. We check out the Arabia Museum, Crown Center in Kansas City we also visit the City Market along the shore of the Missouri river and also try some Kansas City BBQ. I really like Kansas City and it may just be my favorite Mid-West City.

Lived there for almost a year. Beautiful classic architecture and top level cultural institutions. KCMO is definitely under-rated. From a hard-core Angeleno.

I’m a native of the Kansas side of the viaduct. It’s great to see the all the positive growth and changes in KCMO. Every time I go home, I see something new!
Thank you for sharing! 😃👏🏽👏🏽

The WW1 Museum is one of the best I've ever been in. It would take a full day just to look at every item in there. The entrance alone is quite sobering as it is a plexiglass walkover of the recreated Western Front crater scape of 'no man's land' full of poppies. There are 9, 000 poppies, each representing 1, 000 deaths for the 9 million lives lost during WW1. And that's just the entrance-well worth a visit!

We pronounce Overland and Midland as Overlend and Midlend.
We call it the streetcar, not the tram.
T-Mobile bought the Sprint Center.

Thanks Jeff for showcasing our city in such a positive light! We don't come downtown or to Crown Center/ Union Station very much.
It was nice to see how much it's changed in the last few decades!
Great job!😉

Enjoy your videos. I'm a KC native ( KCK) if you ever do a video on Kansas City again you have to show people the Plaza, 18th and Vine

The NCAA Big 12 tournament is in the T-Mobile center. Has been in KC for like ever. And there is loads to do more than sports teams. And there is a whole lot more to Kansas City than downtown and the Plaza. You did our city a great disservice. The nickname is Cowtown.

I like KC Union Station more than Chicago personally. Its has charm and character I can't find back on Canal St. Also KC is the largest city in Missouri...

Washington Park is great, especially during Irish Fest, Labor Day Weekend.

Oh you have to go out there for the Fall Crawl Jazz festival, it's insane. There's also a barbecue festival that's wonderful. And you need to visit the Nelson Art Gallery which is free on Sunday.

As the narrator walks, I see downtown KCMO as it was when I was growing up in the 60s thru 70s. At the corner of 12th and Main where the POWER AND LIGHT building sits was THE JONES STORE. Adjacent to it was the KRESGE’S store, where I had my first slice of pizza and my first submarine sandwich.
The white steps you see when he’s pointing towards the Missouri river lead up to the CITY CENTER SQUARE building at 1100 Main St, which opened in June 1977. I went in to look around when there were just a few businesses inside. On the corner adjacent to it was MACY’S. So many fond memories…..🌹

Kansas City has really fixed itself up over the last twenty years: I might do me a trip to KCMO in the future. Their barbecue is awesome. Gates and Arthur Bryant’s were delicious.

I enjoyed your video, I've lived in KC for the past 15 years and have never been to River Market. Your tour makes me want to get out and enjoy my own town. Thank you.

Hi, Thank you for the Video. I live in Kansas City metro area. This is a great city to live in. it has all amenities that you can imagine but in smaller scale. Great people. Fantastic museum " Adkins Museum of Art" great food, amusement park " World's of Fun", great gardens and most importantly no traffic. if you are sport fan, this is your city, Baseball " KC Royal", Football " KC Chief", Soccer "Sporting Kansas City" Also you should have visit Plaza shopping district. great architecture, great Universities close to Kansas City " University of Kansas", University of Missouri". City of Kansas City are investing greatly to bring people to live in downtown Kansas City and they are building new residential apartments and building a new Stadium for Women Soccer by the river. Before I forget City of Kansas City building a brand new Airport. they in the right track. The other reason I love Kansas City is whenever you want to visit anywhere in United States just fly anywhere in country within 2 +/- flight time. this is great. if you want to drive then, 4 hours to Saint Louis, 8 hours to Chicago and close to many other major cities. Also, read other people's comments that mentioned place such as WWI Museum, Union Stations and T-Mobile Center for big concerts and sport event. The Kansas City keep its residence entertained and busy.
