Day 1: ☀️

Our journey begins in the heart of Lyon, at the sprawling Parc de Gerland . We then wander along the banks of the Saône River, admiring the impressive Confluences Museum ️ and the elegant Fontaine de Place Antonin Poncet ⛲. Next, we head to the bustling Place Bellecour, Lyon's central square, before making our way to the historic Place des Célestins ⛪.

Feeling peckish, we grab a bite at Le Coin Vert , a charming cafe nestled in a hidden courtyard. Refueled, we continue our exploration, visiting the impressive Place de la République, and marveling at the grandeur of the Palais de la Bourse .

No trip to Lyon is complete without indulging in its rich history and culture. We pay our respects at the Église Saint-Nizier de Lyon ⛪, a stunning example of Gothic architecture, and then lose ourselves in the vast collections of the Museum of Fine Arts .

Day 2:

Day two begins with a panoramic view of the city from the ancient Amphitheater of the Three Gauls ️. We then embark on a scenic hike up the Montée de la Grande Côte ‍♀️, rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the city below.

In the afternoon, we head to the top of Fourvière Hill , enjoying stunning panoramic views of the city. Here, we visit the iconic Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière ⛪, a magnificent example of Romanesque architecture.

No visit to Lyon would be complete without experiencing its vibrant cultural scene. We catch a performance at the historic Théâtre Gallo-Romain de Lyon-Fourvière , before returning to the city center to explore the intriguing Musée Cinéma et Miniature .

As our 48-hour adventure comes to an end, we take a final stroll through the charming streets of Vieux Lyon, the city's historic heart.
