K-theory and regularity

It is well known that regular rings are K-regular, i.e. K(R) = K(R[T]) for a regular ring R. Vorst conjectured a partial converse. This conjecture was proven in characteristic 0 by Cortiñas, Haesemeyer, and Weibel. I will discuss a version of Vorst’s conjecture in the positive and mixed characteristic case. This is joint work with Moritz Kerz and Florian Strunk.
