I love how gamefreak went back to using the gen 1-2 sound effect because it really feels like you just wiped out a the targets bloodline

Gen 1 & 2 sound effect is legendary.

Gen 8 really makes you feel the power of Hyper Beam. The old school sound effect with the destructive animation just works great

I respect that they switched back to the classic sound effect. There’s just nothing quite like it

Gotta give props to gen 8 they had the best Hyper Beam. gen 3-5 really lost the idea of how powerful the attack is.

It went from a laser, to little balls, to a red spray, to a laser again, to a full on Death Star, then back to a laser

Hyper Beam is like Pokémon's version of Kamehameha.

The idea of the sky turning bitch black and from what I can tell the colours seemingly meant to be inverting or like an X-Ray effect made it so cool in gen 1.

Arguably the most powerful looking is PLA, because pokemon can attack you and just seeing it stretch across the map makes it look 100x more violent

Such a fantastic sound effect, i can't believe that it fit so well in gen 1 because of the technical limitations but it's still good now!

I’m happy they brought back the hyper beam move sound effects in future generation Pokémon games. Still, there are other Pokémon that can learn hyper beam by levels besides dragonite.

One of the most powerful moves ever with a disadvantage that makes iit barely use. And use it on Dragonite of alll mons make it much more scary.
