Kayaking Trip - Mae Taeng River, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Bit of a longer video as I wanted to capture as much of the river as possible!

Our day consisted of a two-hour bus ride from Chiang Mai to the Mae Taeng River. After a delicious lunch, we got ready, jumped in our rafts/kayaks, and headed off downstream. The paddle took around 3 hours and consisted of one Grade 2, four Grade 3s, and six Grade 4s.

I would have loved to have labelled each section of the river as per the map at the beginning however I am unsure as to which rapids correspond to which names. I know for sure that I was in the raft for at least 3 of the Grade 4s.

A huge shout-out and thanks to Siam River Adventures for their fantastic guides for the rafting and kayaking. We had an absolute blast.
And a particular thanks to Nop for the great coaching and for taking me along the river!

Great challenge! This is not an easy river. Many people would have given up halfway. Good job!!!

I go there for the third time in November. Last Ttime once i also rolled up in front of that bad rock and got out. After that i had no fun that day. Looked scary, but Nop made a good job.
