It's been great seeing your channel blow up over the past couple of years. Thank you for providing accurate framing of detailed information by clarifying what you can know for a fact, what are the possible facts AND rounding out the almost legalistic explanations with a practical summary of what is most likely the situation. You have always maintained a high degree of thoughtful and careful accuracy while still leaning over the table to share your expert interpretation. "What we see here is possibly X or Y. It's possible to be a Z, but that's quite rare. In all likelihood it's probably an X although we can't know for certain unless hear back from the owner...." Cheers!

Three years hard work up in smoke within minutes. Unbelievable how this can happen with all the technology and knowledge available to prevent this from ever happening.

Thank you for answering my questions and not calling me out for sounding like a fool. I just do not know the industry that well. I didn't realize fires were so common, and as you explained, torching a yacht is not in the character of the wealthy. Makes me wonder if fires are so common because production is rushed and there was not enough testing done during sea trials. ??? Thanks again for addressing yesterdays video. I could tell you were talking about the two things I had written. You were very graceful. 🙂

Thanks for addressing the numerous vessel fires.I had wondered if yachts going up in flames happened all the time, but only lately we the new subcribers weren't paying attention to them before.

It must give you great satisfaction reading all the positive comments being left by your fans and every one of them well deserved... as for the other comments just think of them as fodder to feed your algorithm. Keep up the fantastic work. Stay Safe & Keep Reporting!!

Awesome video, and thanks for all the info. Takes me back to my time in the Fire Service, and for 25 years my are included the biggest port, and harbor area in New Zealand, and attended many fires on boats, from small runabouts to very large commercial vessels. Unfortunately for those people on the boats, you cant just go outside to get away from the danger, and the materials used in the construction, aren't very User Friendly when burnt... you get a lungful for that black crap and go down in a screaming heap. Crew did great job of making quick command decision...To big....Run Away. One thing I always loved about nautical incidents was ...they made Better Work Stories...
love your stuff, keep them coming please..cheers from NZ

Interesting comment from the eye witness that it appeared a small fire was originally extinguished then all hell broke loose. That suggests perhaps an electrical fire inside the walls or ceiling. People sometimes only see the relatively small area where the fire breaks through and think they have it controlled but there is an enormous amount of heat still inside where it cannot be seen until it is too late. This is why when you watch firemen put out a structure fire, you will see them using hooked poles to tear down the ceilings and open the walls. Additionally, electrical fires inside of the walls or ceiling are not hampered by sprinkler systems or fire hoses. I cannot tell where this fire originated because the biggest blaze is at the stern where there is the most available oxygen but the source could be almost anywhere. You are certainly correct that the final crewmen to abandon ship were very lucky. The fire flashed over almost as soon as they were in the smaller boat. It would have been like being hit with a flamethrower if they were still in the way of it.

Good to know all are well from the ship. As you were talking, I was nervous watching some smaller boats as I thought they were awfully close to the burning ship, Thank you so much for the info. It is fascinating to hear your expertise. 👏🏻

I did the firefighting 2-day course in Warsash, Southampton, a requirement to work on board supertankers. I realize how important it is to have the training whatever seagoing vessel you are employed on. Fire is a scary thing in whatever situation
