AWeX, an acronym for Adler-Wax Experiments, is a music project founded in 1994 by Tom Wax and Thorsten Adler. Initially, it was created for fun and as a space for musical experiments without any limitations. However, after releasing their first 12-inch single 'It's Our Future', which became the anthem of 1995 and the Berlin Love Parade, they achieved their greatest success to date.

This track is often cited as one of the classics of the techno genre. In 2015, to mark the 20th anniversary of the track, Wax released a new version of it. The 2015 version incorporates modern sounds and production techniques but retains the distinctive elements of the original version.

Subsequent singles, such as "Back on Plastic" and "Adrenalin," also achieved great success. The band was a pioneer of the techno-trance genre and had a significant impact on the development of club music in the 90s.

Tom Wax is an experienced German DJ and electronic music producer, renowned for his contribution to the development of the techno scene. He began his musical career in the 80s, releasing his first record in 1991. He is the founder of several record labels, including Phuture Wax and Wax Trax. His productions are known for their unique sound, which combines elements of techno, house, and trance. Wax is also a well-known DJ who has performed at numerous prestigious events and festivals worldwide. His tracks have been remixed by many famous DJs and producers, including Carl Cox and Sven Väth. Wax is also active as a mentor for young talents and conducts DJ workshops.
