An assortment of random video game items I've found over the last few weeks. Some obscure ebay junk, charity shop games, imports and outdated hardware. There's a bit of everything in this vid.

Thanks for watching

Your channel rocks, it was the reason I got my Dreamcasts, yes both of them out of the loft and started adding to my original collection of games from the early 00s. Retro gaming is where it is at, all these digital only games and DLCs can bugger off. Old games were complete from the day they were sold.

Keep up the good work!:)

ICO is actually the "prequel" to Shadow of the Colossus.

I love these old flashcarts. Handy to have, too! :)

That yellow Game Boy turned out beautiful.

I remember a time when classrooms were filled with the sounds of those annoying beepy little bastards! Resetting Tamagotchis while their unsuspecting owners weren't looking was an art in itself :P

It looks even brighter in real life, haha. Nintendo called it lime green, I think. I have a similar coloured GameBoy Color.
Thanks for watching/commenting, Bonnie!

Later PAL DS games come in the smaller NTSC cases, at least the Pokemons did.

I never got why Nintendo uses different cases in different regions, the ones that weird me out are the Gamecube where the Gamecube logo on the spine is on the bottom of NTSC copies, and the Wii U where the spine is white rather than blue in the PAL copies.

Well I really appreciate you taking the time to watch them. And nice comments are always very welcome, so thanks! :)
Yeah, those things can cost a lot just to ship within the UK. International shipping would probably be really expensive! The screens and sound are notorious for going bad on those handhelds. But it's normally an easy fix. Replacing a few capacitors usually does the trick. You should give it a go yourself! :D

The bigger cases for PAL games (PS1, Dreamcast, DS) is usually down to them needing to fit the big European multilingual manuals inside.

Thank you. I'm glad you like them!

Bummer that you didn't get enough footage for the Pokemon system. Even if you were unable to revive it, it would have been interesting to see what the insides looked like. I love it when you tear-down and refurbish hardware. :D Nice pickups.

Wow, not bad! The Game's round here got rid of all their older hardware ages ago.

Hi Martin. I've been following your channel for about a year and I never took the time to write a comment about how good it is. I really enjoy your repair videos and all the obscure clone console stuff. I've bought a copy of Guitar Hero On Tour (not the Decades version) for really cheap recently. My fingers hurts but I've been able to make it to the final area in expert mode (but I don't think I'll be able to finish it). I Hope you'll keep making fun videos.

It was interesting to watch, Martin!

I've never heard of a Pokémon Mini before. That was neat. I would like to have seen the motherboard all corroded, heh.

I do but no reason to bust it open at the moment. I'll keep an eye out for some faulty units to repair though :)

In the past I've just pulled small speakers from other junk electronics. You can probably find compatible units on ebay. I don't think they are proprietary Nintendo or anything like that. Just measure the diameter and fine one that'll fit.

Maybe I can throw some of the footage together as part of a future vid. I got about halfway through before I lost focus on the video-making part of the project :P

ICO for the PS2... AWESOME. I love your collection!

Thanks! Totally agree with you about modern gaming. Games are now released unfinished and fragmented to milk gamers for as much money as possible. The really sad thing is, a lot of games nowadays have a shelf life due to online activation, dlc and "cloud" support. You simple won't be able to head up to the loft and bust out current gen games in 20 years time. Very sad.
