(Helium \/S Air) well obviously helium is lighter than air, so basically a balloon filled with this gas weighs less than the air it displaces and will therefore be subjected to an upward force as the mattress is simply too heavy, even with the displaced air, and all the helium you could pump it still does not possess the amount of power for an upward force to lift said air mattress helium versus air place your bets

Helium is an *inert* gas - it doesn't explode or even burn.

You have not stated your results. I do not think it can float because it does not create enough buoyant force by displacing enough air to float.
