These videos really show that despite our technology/tool use & misplaced sense of superiority, us humans are just the same as every other animal. Lumbering about, finding food & shelter, maybe a mate, & fending off threats… until we die.

One of the most dangerous animals to meet in the forest is the bear cub.
Mostly because his mom is around and she is absolutely sure you are a threat.

One thing not mentioned is that during the early spring thaw, male bears are the greatest threat to cubs. Boars (male bears) will spend most of their day searching for any sow they can find.

Not so they can breed (though that happens too), but for the off-chance that she may be rearing any babies, which form the bulk of a boar's protein supply for just those first few weeks of the season.

If the boar is successful, the sow then goes into oestrus as she no longer has any cubs to care for, and they mate.
