The ONT, or Optical Network Terminal, is the box where your fiber internet connection enters your home. Rebooting your ONT is also known as Power cycling. It can be a key step in troubleshooting when all of your services are out.

As a Verizon customer, this was SUPER helpful in restoring my Internet access after some severe rainstorms led to significant power outage. Since my ONT is located in a bedroom, and has no physical power cord visible anywhere, going to my fusebox and powercycling the appliances for the bedroom did the trick. Thanks!!

Just got this installed Friday and 1 day later there is a red light in the box with no internet service. Customer service said they can’t bring anyone out until Wednesday. Rebooted everything when I told the rep I work from home they said “we work from home too” that doesn’t change anything. It’s been 1 day. I regret this 100%

This video was very unhelpful. I don't think anybody at frontier knows the meaning of the word helpful.

My internet works however I have a red squiggly line through the data section of my fiber ONT,
the power light is green,
the PON light is green, but the data light has a red squiggle line through it,
I’m not receiving much resolve from frontier .

What about when it's flashing on update? Can you do anything about that instead of having someone wait 4 days for a tech to swap the box

Dealing with issues with a new router now and called for help with this. The customer service rep somehow assumed I was an expert and was very unhelpful trying to talk me through this. Our box does not have a regular power outlet he was not hearing me and was giving me a hard time for just telling him to send someone out to sort it out.

I signed up for fiber service. Paid the year in full. Service worked fine for 2 months now service went out and tech can’t be here until tomorrow but I work from home and need internet service. Rep said I should get that service time before someone else does and takes longer to get another appointment. I need to cancel as this is worst service I have ever received.

Hey my arris router has a red glove no matter what we have paid our bill and still nothing is happening heck we called support and they said they would be here today but they did not arrive and marked the visit as complete if you can’t comment that would be nice 👍

Mine is outside and doesn’t have an outlet where can I reset the ont at?

This didn’t help at all, my ont has zero lights saying if it’s got power or any button to reset it. Customer service said they can’t get a person out here until Wednesday and we called a week ago, regret buy this internet
