Finally!! Someone who understands this music!! Wonderful phrasing! The hat should be worn for all Kapustin compositions!

Nikolai Kapustin's Concert Etude never sounded better. Yoav is really an incredible talent, a true legend in the making.

I've heard many brilliant interpretations of this piece, but Yoav brings so much nuance and details to it. He's not just showing off how good or fast he can play, he's pulling his heart into the music, minding every little detail. It's no longer about virtuosity, it's about making a musical work his own.

One of the most joyful performances of this I’ve seen! It takes such focus, accuracy, energy and dexterity. To get to such a joyful freedom in the playing of these is so enjoyable to watch!

Fantastic performance! I am now learning this Concert Etude by Kapustin and this video helps me to understand a lot: in rhythm, dynamics. Thanks Yoav! 😊

At first I was like, who dis fool wit da hat? Then I was like....dayum... 😱

Seriously though, I've been checkin out a lot of Kapustin lately and this seems to be a popular encore piece. And this guy straight up owned it!

All i can see and hear is a tremendous amount of work for the kid and a very skilled guidance by his profesor(s) that sadly stay anonimous

This is truly breathtaking, already a demanding piece on its own, and to master it and make the piece his own, amazing.
