hi jan, my parents own the catamarn 'sanyassa' that was capsized during the storm. they too see themselves as lucky. as they relatively unhurt and still have each other. thankyou for sharing you video as it give us chance to see just how terrible the storm was. Also i would like to thank all the staff and friends of vliho yacht club especially rauiri who dive in to save my mum who was trapped underneath the catamarn.

mychi is a moody. of course she survived! moodys are the best boats! but that really was a devistating video to watch! all of those boats! knocked over, dismasted, capsized,

Vliho Bay is NOT well known as the safest anchorage in Greece, Any local will tell you a force 10 can rip through it in either direction. Any yachtsman who spends a day there can learn this from other yachts or from the boatyards or from any local people. The small bay called Tranquil Bay opposite NIdri IS safe from everything except a random twister, which is rare indeed.
