That voice--with the soul and understated emotion and the clarity--runs very deep, as you can tell, Stan.

Patsy Cline has one of the best country voices around. She had so many great hits such as "She's Got You", "When I Get Through With You", "So Wrong", "Leavin' on Your Mind", "Walkin' After Midnight", "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love", "Imagine That". She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams.

When I was little, back in the late 70's, I remember my mom would sing Patsy cline, especially this one while cleaning the house. and I would just sit on the couch and listen to her.

Great reaction Stan, and I agree. Patsy can hypnotize you with her voice. It's so soothing, and yes, I get that mom vibe too. I have this song in my library, and need to download more from Patsy. 👍👍

A dear friend of my mothers in the 50s. A very sweet woman. We all loved her. My mom was very sad when Patsy died. I was a child and distressed to find my mom crying one morning. She hugged me and said Aunt Patsy's died in a plane crash. We cried together.😢

Listen to "Blue" by LeAnn Rimes. She was 13 when she recorded this song She has the closest voice to Patsy Cline I have ever heard.

I double-dog-dare someone to try to duplicate that voice!!😂 Closest, so far, was Leane Rimes. Close but no cigar!!

Checkout Jim Reeves, he did a cover of Patsy's song called.. Just out of Reach. He was household name during the late 50's early 60's due to his smooth Baritone voice. ❤️👍

I am old and now relisten to all songs at 2x speed. All the classics become bangers. Including this one. Even 80s pop songs becomes rave dance tracks at 2x speed.

My favorite Patsy Cline song is Faded Love, which was an old standard at the time, but she made it her song. They say she was crying while she recorded it and you just hear that angst in her voice.

If you haven't done it yet, you need to check out the VERY upbeat "Back in Baby's Arms." To me, one of, if not the BEST female singer of all time, this song is different from all her others. It's fresh, playful, and just awesome. If you're interested in another angelic voice, check out The Sunday, anything from the Reading, Writing & Arithmetic album. Or you could go start with their most popular "Here's where the story ends." Harriet is amazing. To me, like Patsy, but different.

Try "Blue Moon of Kentucky" lots of yodeling in her voice.

Definitely one of the greatest singers with such a piercing(in a good way) to get to ones senses. Too bad she didn't do a duet with say Karen Carpenter, Dusty Springfield, great singers of the past
