Hi, I traveled from germany to Daytona. First time at a track race ever. I came for Fernando Alonso. AND BOY...he delivered. Awesome race. Thanks to all drivers and team members. I will never forget this weekend. If Fernando returns 2020. I will be back.

Great race track. Also, I love the grand stage. You can see the whole track from there. Amazing.

By the way, great IMSA Radio. Thank you.
By the way 2.0. I love the headlights. There was no problem to figure out the cars at night.

Fernando, thank you.

I was sooo sad I missed the live event at the 24 hours of Daytona. But I'm so happy you guys uploaded it. AND ON MY BIRTHDAY! And it has no ads...

10pm to 2am. Best experience ever. Full access to the pits. Talking to drivers, to crew. Seeing the #85 Cadillac from about 1 meter do a massive burn out. The sound of the Porsches exiting the horseshoe. Wow.

It's so awesome that you guys upload these events within a week of it happening! I don't understand how you don't have WAY more subs.

Thank goodness we still get IMSA TV productions for these replays. I was scared we would lose it with the NBC deal.

OMG! The beginning of my 2nd season as a sports car and endurance racing fan! I've become so obsessed over the fall and winter! I've spent so many hours each day here on YT watching at least 4 Rolex 24s, 5 Le Mans, 3 entire seasons of IMSA Weathertech, and 2 seasons of WEC. I am SO STOKED to watch a season unfold in... sorta real time :) I think I need a season-opening word explosion or something. I'll actually know most of the teams and most of the drivers this time! The first sports car race I ever watched was the 2018 Le Mans, but I didn't watch it until August. I don't know how I became such a rabid fan so quickly!

Things that excite me about this race:
*Alexander Rossi and Scott Dixon!
*Fernando and Kamui with Wayne Taylor! (With Jordan, I can't imagine them being beaten!)
*Ford's new GT livery
*Porsche's always-cool throwback liveries
*Still-smiling Acuras
*More Muppet-monster Lamborghinis
*The women of car #57
*A McLaren in the race???

Things I love about the Rolex 24:
*John, Jeremy, and Shea! Oh yes, and Rooftop Ray!
*Onboard cam views at night coming out of the steep banking turn 4 as the stands come into view
*Paul Dalla Lana! (Yeah, he actually is my favorite driver since Bobby Unser.)
*Helio Castroneves! (He WILL get his 4th Indy 500 win!)

Things I already miss:
*The Red Dragon (though it looks like we got 2 Cadillac Banana Boats, or one Banana Boat and one Yellow Submarine?). The 99 Red Dragon and 85 Banana Boat Orecas had such personality, though that could just be in my head, or maybe the way Shea Adam talked about them, I dunno. They were friendly, though usually not in contention for a podium.
*ESM - damn they were good!
*Madison Snow, (Good luck Maddy! You're a headline act now, and you deserve it!)

What bothers me:
*Who the hell invited the #29 Audi back??? Monteplast should be BANNED from IMSA events after the fuel cheat and especially their appalling behavior at the Glen last year! They disgust me, and I'll be cheering for their early retirement from every race due to some really foul and frustrating problem, like all of their drivers having severe hemorrhoids or something (though Sheldon van der Linde seems to have moved on). Nothing pisses me off in sports like poor sportsmanship! I am unreasonable about this, and I know it. But I'm a fan, and I get to be unreasonable. They are athletes competing at an elite level in their sports. That's like being a world-famous rock guitarist and playing out of tune through every concert. You're better than that!
*Chip Ganassi. I can't put my finger on it though. I think he reminds me of a lot of asshole bosses I've worked for. I don't think he treated Tony Kanaan with much dignity during last year's Indycar series. Kanaan had a very bad year, IMO, and he caused a lot of wrecks, but he is Tony Kanaan, and he has earned a lot more respect as a driver by his great accomplishments (like, anyone who wins the Indy 500 even once, let alone multiple times). You just don't retire your car before the end of a race because you have a problem with the driver, and Ganassi has done that more than once. It's like one of the boys from South Park saying, "It's MAH car, and I'll do what I want!"

Ok, now I'm gonna watch the race :)
