Adaptive Cross Country Ski Unboxing - Eskaip by Tessier

The new adaptive cross country ski by Tessier, an innovative French company, has already exceeded expectations!
This sit sledge will be available to anyone who wishes to try seated cross country skiing while overcoming and living with mobility challenges.

RAD Recreation Adapted Society is excited to be working with a group of community organizations to make adaptive cross country skiing accessible to those living in and travelling to the Columbia Valley, Invermere specifically, located along the Alberta border in British Columbia.

Big thanks to Toby Creek Nordic Club, Panorama Adaptive Snow Sports, RAD Society, Lake Windermere Ambassadors, and the District of Invermere for working together to make this happen!

Very cool Tanelle. Cross country sitskiing is the coolest thing I think I've seen you try. I have a Ski Erg so would love to try it some day. Keep it up the videos :)

Awesome! I love XC sit skiing. XC skiing is my main cardio go to for the winter months. I have a few videos on my channel showcasing a few days skiing the trails. The make I have is Capricorn Sit Ski which isn't manufactured anymore. I got it back in 2012 to compete at Nationals. I had to modify it a bit for my level of injury ( T12 Incomplete SCI) The frame weighs 8lbs. I'm not sure the weight with skis. Looking forward to seeing some videos of you skiing. I hope it works out well for you. Cheers!

I have been planning to come out and ski or skate or both at the whiteway. Maybe we can ski together. I have my own sitski. You will need to get an extra set of bindings on your skis. If you need help with how to set that I can put you in touch with someone.

Though is there any major differences between this and the ones used in sledge hockey? Is one easier to propel than the other?
