This works in 2024! Open sound settings, click on your headphones or device you want to connect it to, click on output devices, let window scan your device and let it update your drive! Thank you so much dude!!!

Guys i found a REAL solution if you followed this, and comments below, re download windows and make sure you name your login account to ENGLISH. Yeah im not joking, roblox cant read other languages file name so the settings of the roblox and background music wont be saved i hope this helped for you guys

To any of you who had the issue where if looking the other way (having your back against the sound source), it became silent (whatever did the sound), I FOUND THE SOLUTION. It's because you need to go to spatial sound and change the type to windows sonic for headphones if you have.

guys if you have a issue go to sound and underneath test your microphone press troubleshot and answer the questions when done it will ask you to reinstall audio driver click yess and when its done the audio will be working again

I am experiencing a weird problem where when I go to roblox setting under audio output device it is blank and I don't know how to fix it, or am I banned from accessing it on roblox cuz I play music using a virtual audio cable which is VB Audio to play music on voice chat. idk if that's the reason of my output device section being blanked on roblox settings.

hello, my game audio is still not working, i am on windows 10, and this has been happening for the past 3 days, i have roblox voice chat, so it tells me what input device i am using and output device, and on the output device, it is blank. i cannot change it, because there are no options to change with eh output device. ive looked everywhere for an answer but i could not find one. if so, anybody, please help because its annoying and the games i play need audio cues to help me play better.

what my problem is i cant use my vc when it worked perfectly fine yesterday. today when i play a vc enabled game, the output device is blank but i can still hear sounds. the input device is the one transmitting sounds when its supposed to be for microphone.
