Ray has been playing guitar for nearly two decades, and has been able to turn his love and passion for the guitar into a full-time career. Having served in the United States Army as an Artilleryman and and Infantryman, Ray uses lessons learned in the military to continue to stay motivated and focused in the music business. He is the creator and operator of the Youtube Channel, “Stay Metal Ray”, and is also the founding member and guitarist for the band “Luna Muerta”.

Ray uses the V4 Kraken amp with inbuilt Two notes DynIR technology to get his sound. We sat down with Ray to chat gear, his life in the military and how his injury spurred him into a life of music.

Ray’s a heck of a guy and an inspiration to those feelin down about stuff. Just slap on any one of his many vids and you’ll see that big “Ray of sunshine” grin. I dare you to stay sad, cause ya can’t. His playing is inspirational, too. Taking his influences of old and making something new and his own. Glad to have found him and am blessed to get to share his musical journey.

Stoked to see Ray getting some love from a killer company like Victory. I’ve been following his career for a few years now and it’s great to see his progression. If anyone is seeing him for the first time I highly recommend checking out his channel for killer killer riffs. Now I’m off to reverb to look for a Kraken.. smh
