Hi James. The new format cards will not fit the earlier chassis, however the Allen & Heath distributor in your country should be able to order the earlier version card for you. The part number is M-GSR24-ANA-A – please be sure to specify that it is the old version you need.

@Simone Troccoli, to analogue mix with the R24 you need to set the output of each of your DAW channels to the corresponding channels on the desk. You can then use the insert points on the desks channels to add the outboard gear. From here you can either print the single tracks back in to the DAW or print the entire analogue mix back to the DAW by printing 31/32.

Hi, useful video! I've jut purchased a second hand GS-R24M and want the analogue card so I can utilize my Avid HD converters. Is the new balanced analog card compatible with my first generation unit? I'm unsure now as you've mentioned you re-designed the analog card a while ago!

Hi, nice video and I think that my question is answered but I prefer to ask to be 100% sure.
Is Ableton Live 8 usable with the GS-R24? As far as I understand, yes ...
Another question how far the sound is from the GS-3000. I bought one used one but the workflow is really not good for me, so that I sold it and now look for the GS-R24.
Apart the Q for the param EQ, it seems the sound of the table should be quite the same .. can you please tell the sonic differences between these two models?

Does allen and heath have a modern version of this console? Or is planning to release something like this again? Seems that lots of people love these consoles! Especially the valve channels daw control and general workflow!
