I arrived two hours after the EQ and we had a bit of a delay landing. I wonder if the rooftop bars are as busy as usual or if people are being cautious. My GF’s office is still closed as a precaution in Thong Lor, it’s under the buildings with the connecting bridge that was damaged

I get a lot of earthquakes in Japan. Most people dont bat an eyelid. If its a particularly big one, the smartphone starts ringing loud like an air raid. Often the sound of the phone is more alarming than the quake.

I'll book my next holiday hotel 10 floors and below . Evacuation is quicker. Just over 1 year ago . Curious I googled when was the last earthquake. Lo and behold. It happened.

Can you imagine if that happened in the UK that have to be a focus group from the government that will take four weeks to set up then you have to have an environmental impact group…… then you have to have an animal impact group, so we can research how traumatised the squirrels and badgers work……… then would have to have a racial equality impact group, howdy earthquake affected affected black people in general……. and let’s not forget the alphabet people, how earthquakes sustainability is affected members of the LGBT community. It would be seven months before anything would be done………. And we are a first world country, but a third world country managed to sort everything out within a matter of weeks. It makes you think doesn’t it
