I know of a lot of Pro drummers when they hit their 60's things change. If you never turned 60 + then you wouldn't have a clue. Some have heard of the 7 year change ie: when you'r 14 your different then when your 7 etc etc etc. We all have a shelf life folks. Big Al didn't *need* to continue to play - key word need. If Al was 35 years old when his bro passed it would be different. Obviously Al's choice is not what most people want and like, even Sammy seams not to like it or get it. But I get it, the 7 year change... When he turned 70 he's not the same 42 etc. I totally respect Al's decision went out on top!!
