This might have been the closest I've come to crying while playing a video game, ever. The music of Aberration really set the stage for the lore which also is pretty sad. The music in this cutscene paired with the beautiful visuals and what is essentially a short tour of the place that caused so many people pain in the lore, it just got to me. It definitely helped that Aberration had been my favorite map up to that point (still is) and the cutscene made me almost feel bad for leaving, as if I had some debt to pay to Diana and Mei-Yin and Helena.

I love this ascension partly because it's absolutely beautiful in both visuals and audio, but I also love what it shows. You fly back through the entire dangerous, deadly, absolutely insane ARK you just conquered, but this time, you're protected in that stream that pulls you forward. You don't need hazmat gear, or wingsuits, or anything at all. You were born on Earth with nothing sometime in the past, and you'll take nothing with you when you return. You're returning to Earth, and the ARK knows it. Nothing here can hurt you now; you've ascended beyond such things. The ARK allows you a moment to breathe and just... take everything in, one last time before shipping you off to the most deadly place you've ever been.

This is def my fave ascenion cut scene by far, with Extinction being a SUPER close second! Gosh, I remember seeing this for the first time and just being in AWE! Still am! Love this game so much!

Aberration is my favorite cause the map the dinos the animals it’s breathtaking the music the cut scenes every thing freeing rockwell from his suffering I love aberration and I think extinction could never beat aberration
