How to Create Temporary Login for WordPress

Have you ever needed to create a temporary account that will automatically expire after a specific date? Sometimes offering temporary access to the admin area is required. In this video, we will show you how to create a temporary login for WordPress without passwords.

Start by installing and activating the Temporary Login Without Password plugin:

Once activated go to Users, Temporary Logins and click on Create New.

You will see a form where you need to enter information for the temporary login you want to add.

Provide an email address for the user, add their first and last name and select a user role for them. Be careful how high you set their user role.

Finally select the duration you would like for the temporary account to decide when you would like it to expire.

Don't forget to submit to save your changes.

The success message will appear with the url that anyone can use to login to the temporary account you just added until the expiration date.

Visit Users, Temporary logins if you want to view or edit your list of temporary logins including the last login date.

just subscribed as well, I'll be this channel has lots of WP topics I can utilize.. I just went to Channel library and D*mn, I wished I had ran into this channel a LONG time ago. so many useful videos of so many snags I ran into over the yeard using WP. I'm an old HTML site self-designer and could do most anything in HTML, but WP was a huge 'new wrinkle' and has been a real headache . I have watched thousands of YT vids on WP but most were so techie I had trouble understanding. This one was clear, at least so far..

I’m confused on what email I’ve to enter as you havnt stated exactly what email to use?? Do I put the email I use for this site in that field or do I put the person I choose to give admin rights, does his email go here? You wern't specific on this... sorry

Great video! I need to create a user registration to protect a non-profit business site that will automatically expire the password on logout. The user would then be required to re-register if they wish to return to view the content at any point in the future. May I ask you to share your knowledge or methods you have, that would allow me to do this? I can't seem to find any tutorials on this subject as they all focus on generating lists or profits.
