100grams or one whole fruit is about 60 calories. Some sites say 103 calories per cup.

They’re like crispy sesame seeds. Some parents will definitely scold their children if they’re being picky with the seeds like their onions or pickles because they definitely think it’ll affect their body growth by being picky. The yellow ones are spiky and sweeter than the red ones. The red ones comes with white and red flesh. Both taste earthy and like a bland kiwi. They’re grown in tropical climate like avocado.

I love seeing fruit reviews on your channel! I've never had this one, I don't think I've seen it in stores here

I've only had yellow dragon fruit once in my life. I think it was 2 or 3 years ago & I believe they came from Trader Joe's when they were in season. I think I had bought 2 maybe & I ate 1 in a sitting. It upset my stomach so bad & I had to unpleasantly run to the bathroom a few times. I'm looking at the big bowl y'all whipped up & I was like omg they are on overload & will regret eating that much. I will say it was delicious until my body processed it. The Trader Joe's cost was definitely not $7 or more. I prefer the red dragon fruit. It's just as delicious but doesn't upset my stomach. In fact Target sells it amongst their frozen fruit & I eat it right out of the bag frozen. It reminds me of sorbet when it's frozen & it's a healthier frozen treat over ice cream if you're watching your sugar intake. Just be aware though if your fingers directly touch the red dragon fruit it will stain your skin like pomegranates.

Never say never but… I’ve never seen them at Aldi! Maybe they sell them in Aldi stores in other areas of the country? Not sure. But I do know what you mean about eating big with fruit!! My mom and I used to split a honeydew each morning for breakfast 🙈 She’s also been known to devour an entire bag of grapes while watching tv. Such a fun and unique item for Courtney to send for you to review! Thanks to her and of course to you and Kevin too!

I can see that kevin! I eat s half a day can't eat anymore than a half or it's a day in the bathroom. I use it as a delicious laxative!

100g is 57 calories according to the USDA website. Sometimes ethnic grocery stores carry produce and they’re often cheaper. I’ve never seen them at Aldi. I love almost any fruit so I’m always rotating through them all lol. Except apples— I’ve eaten one every day since I was like 5 years old, no matter what or where I am 😂😂

Wow they’re really expensive but great you got to taste them. What was their flavour like as you talked about the texture but maybe I missed the description? Ah near the end 😁. Thanks for the review.

Sprouts has them 2 for $5 while in season and I always stock up. 😊

Eating a cockroach shell! 😂😂 I’ve had dragon fruit but it’s been a long time, but I remember the texture. It was okay, but I can see how Kevin feels about the seeds. Kiwi can have a laxative effect too. Thanks to Courtney Great review.

I've tasted these. Good flavor. If these didn't have a ton of seeds, would be nice.

What a fun video! I tried them once a few years ago. It was good, but the price point has kept me from buying them again because they’re not my favorite. If I’m going to spend money on a bougie fruit, I love pomegranates!

Reviews I have read online seemed to indicate it tastes like a cross between a kiwi and a pair with citrus notes. But a buddy of mine told me it just tastes like a barely sweet melon and was struggling to get any real flavor. But there's probably a considerable difference between the yellow and the red version of this fruit. If price wasn't a factor though based on the benefits I have read about I would pick these up often

I have never seen dragonfruit at my Aldi. I have seen it at other grocery stores though. I have even purchased it frozen. I don’t remember the price, but I would say it’s fairly expensive for the size.

I've only had the pink dragonfruit, it's quite sweet imo.

I about died laughing at Kevin's reaction to the roach comment, but you seemed to hit the nail on what he was thinking. I have seen them before at Ingles and Publix, but not Aldi. Aldi here has outstanding produce at a great price, but it is stuff that they know is going to move. Citrus, Apples, Cherries, Bananas, Tomatoes etc... I am curious about the seeds. I eat tomatoes a whole lot and those seeds are soft and not noticeable. If they are firm at all, and as many as that fruit has it would bother me.

If you have an Asian store near you, highly recommend going. They are $2-3 here, and I’m in California 😮😂

When I saw these, I thought oh no... LOL.
Honestly I've never tried them solely because the calorie count is so inconsistent. Not that I do count, but the conscious of it would make me more comfortable.
I think I've only seen them at Hmart; they have an extensive amount of exotic produce. I wouldn't expect Aldi to carry them at all.
But ok... It must have been a while.. Did they work? 😂
