Parking brake in this car is actually automatic. If you keep your foot on the brake for a couple seconds after putting in park, you can feel it engage automatically. I think the actual button would only be for use in special circumstances.

BTW, there is a button below the gas paddle when you touch the floor. You need to press it hard, and that's when you will see the rpm crosses the 5000 range. A lot of people who drive this car don't know about this.

Not really what I'd call a sports car, but it is a true sports sedan and probably my favorite out of everything in the sport compact class. For me the BMW 2 series and Lexus IS (RWD only) are 1a and 1b. I'd be more than happy with either. (Not the IS300 though...detuned V6 and extra weight of AWD I don't need where I live)

My 2016 IS is a great all around car. It would not keep up with a 3/4 series or A4 on a track. That being said....I dont drive this car on a track. If we're just driving in the canyons here outside Denver I could keep up with no problem. Thats why I love my IS along with reliability. I have 85, 000 miles and Ive only had to perform routine maintenance and I expect to have to do nothing else. Having only 311hp is a bummer especially here in CO where we regularly drive in elevations above 7000ft. In higher elevations turbos really help. I do plan on adding an ECU tune and intake so that should get me a few more Hp for overtaking on some of the higher elevations. Again, I would rather have the reliability over the German cars.

You have to put the car in manual to use paddles. And you need an IS with the dynamic handling package.

Those are NOT the LED headlights. That is an option, triple beam LED. Do your research.

Truly reliable but the interior design cannot justify its price.
