Climb has a crush on hot dad Oakheart

Oakheart is an underrated character.. and there's no videos dedicated to just him/his story, just his relationship to Bluestar. So here ya go

1. Yes, we know that keeping is spelling wrong. It's our only spelling mistake so let it go.
2. Yes, we know that his eyes are described as amber. We wanted Crookedstar & Oakheart to have the same eye color to show their resemblance as brothers.
3. A lot of people keep commenting on the "my mother was a genius" line about Rainflower. Oak DID NOT have the same upbringing as his brother and therefore does not share the same views that Crookedstar or the readers feel about Rainflower. This video is through his eyes, so try and understand that.
4. Please stop saying how you feel sorry for Bluestar etc. This video is NOT about her, and she made what she thought to be the right decision.
5. The reference to Appledusk & Mapleshade, as well as the scene showing the ghosts of Shellheart, Willowbreeze and Rainflower is a reference to our Mapleshade video "HOLLOW"
6. The entire fight sequence at the end is wrong, and we know. The storyboard had already been made and the video in progress when we found out, so it was too late to fix it without making drastic changes.
Redtail is originally seen attacking Stonefur, and Oakheart intervenes and says that "no thunderclan cat shall ever harm him", instead of Redtail intervening to save Tigerclaw
7. Bluestar is shown mourning Redtail at the end because no one in her clan knew of her secret relationship with Oakheart, and there's no way she could let her clan see her mourn an enemy deputy.

This made me realize something I should have realized sooner. When Redtail died, and his body was brought into the camp, Bluestar received word of Oakheart's death as well as Redtail's, which meant that she was mourning her mate along with her deputy. Ah you Erins, you did it again!

it weird bc when reading Bluestar's Prophecy at the battle for Sunning Rocks your rooting for ThunderClan

But in Crookedstar's Promise in the same battle, you root for RiverClan

I personally prefer Oakheart with green eyes, because it matches better with his pelt color. Also because I like the thought of Firestar looking like Oakheart, another reason Bluestar becomes close with him.

Damn. As much as I wanted some way to find out how Bluestar felt after Oakhearts death, how did I not connect her grief for Redtail to Oakheart?

I love the choice to make Crookedstar the Hamilton of this rather than give that to someone else, purely because the lyrics fit so damned well for him!
No other cat that could have been chosen had as much to prove and as little to lose as Crookedstar, and I think that this PMV really benefits from showing the development of the relationship between the two brothers.
I just love this so much oml.

Aaaaahh, It's really cool to have the point of view of Oakheart. Everyone used Bluestar and aaaah I love to see videos with an original character, plus, with a beautiful style like yours! ^w^

The end made me tear up because you can see how much Oakheart longs to tell Bluestar the truth. That it wasn't his fault. That he'd never hurt her like that. But he can't tell her any of that and has to watch her pain and grief start to consume her. Her spiral down started with losing Redtail and only got worse with each lose after

After I read Bluestar's Prophecy, I went back and read Into the Wild and it's a little disturbing that Tigerclaw was like, "I killed this guy", and Bluestar had to deal with the whole, "This dude murdered my ex-boyfriend" thing. It's actually quite heartbreaking.

When I got older I started to realize how much terrible drama happens in the books.
I mean deaths, betrayal, heartbreaks, hiding kits, power balances, discrimination, serial killers, revenge ect.
I know our own cats have and had a lot of drama, but I'm so glad this was fiction

This MAP is also one of my favorite and, although very sad, one of my favorite couples.
The song also fits perfectly for Oakheart. And the cats look absolutely gorgeous
