They are such fun to drive and to own - real raw go-kart like feel with no assistance and relatively easy to work on for a half way competent home mechanic. I've had my 1993 348 TS for over 11 years now and absolutely love it. The majority of negative comments out there are from people whose experience of a 348 amounts to reading other people's opinions (often also arrived at with no actual experience) and passing them off as their own. I drove several cars from this era before buying my 348 (308, 328 and 355) and the 348 was simply the most fun and the most engaging.

I have been a Pro Master tech for almost 40 years. I drove and did my research on 5 different F-cars for years before I pulled the trigger on my 348 spider. The 355 spiders will drain your wallets. My 348 has been pretty cheap to keep. Of course I have the tools and Garage to repair it but I have worked on and owned ALL makes and models and owning this car is very manageable. Watch out for rip-off repair shops. I put wider tires on it and that snap oversteer is no longer an issue. I went from 255 to 285 on the rear. Power is more than adequate. I removed the Cats and the engine sound came ALIVE! Do your research and find one with solid maintenance records. There is no power steering, so if you are a weakling you may want to sign up with a gym first. lol

I own a 430 Scuderia that I enjoy very much, but there is something about the 348 that makes me want to add one to the stable!

Aboslutely agree. The 348 is a great car and a proper Ferrari. After more than 12 years of ownership I love mine and hopefuly will never have to sell it. The car is so beautiful and the driving experience is so special that makes me think most of the haters have never ever driven a 348. It’s not a perfect machine, but every car has its issues, and even more when talking of classics.

I should add that I went from 215 to 225 on the front and lowered the air pressure from 35 to 28lbs all around for a smoother ride. The car now sticks like glue!

The beauty of cars ‘coming of age’ is that you can appreciate them on their own, not in comparison to their predecessor or successor. Di Montezemolo blowing his own trumpet by trash talking the 348 and promoting the F355 has lost its relevance, the F355 is now far from being the latest and greatest. So you can just go for the car that you like, either the classic 308, go-kart 348 or ‘cinque valvole’ F355.

I love these old entry level Ferraris. The 348 is definately beautiful. Still the shape of the cool 308 & 328 but with the great touch in the design that reminds to the almighty Testarossa / 512 TR. Perhabs it's not the fastest in accelaration but it's still a Ferrari and definately one of the most beautiful Ferraris.

Probably the 348 reminds many of the other auto maker designs at that time. Wedge Shape is similar to models by several companies so style was not so unique. Nowadays if someone does not appreciate the 348, I am curious to hear why.

and of course somebody mounted the directional wheels on the wrong side of the car....it's a drinking game at this point. I swear half the tire mounters on 348 are dyslexic

Une des plus belle Ferrari. Les performances sont les mêmes que celles de la référence de l'époque la Porsche 964. Par contre le comportement est plutôt "vif" et sans assistance (à part l'abs). La dernière Ferrari à l'ancienne, la première d'une longue lignée de v8 longitudinaux.
