Lacks the classic suspense of a genuine AC novel. Been listening for 6 hours and am absolutely bored stiff! Hope the end is absolutely amazing to make this torture worthwhile 😢

I'm trying to get into this but there is something off that I can't put my finger on. It's missing some of the short bursts of momentum of a classic Poirot. Is it just me or is anyone else getting the same vibe?

It’s a very good book but draws inevitable comparisons with AC. However good the plot or how well-drawn the characters, AC, you realise, was a master story-teller & much more restrained. This, by comparison, is over-complicated & over-worked & but, on its own it’s an excellent read & the narrator was excellent.

These are all the most unlikeable characters ever penned on paper. The story was ok but shouldn’t bear the name of the most successful novelist of all time on the cover…

Great narration but THE most boring story. The author is NO Christie.

It's so wordy and intense, taking so long to get anywhere.
Good narration.

Finding it a bit tedious, I'm afraid. It just goes on and on... Can't remember finding myself wishing Agatha Christie would just get on with it. Very well read, but I'm irretrievably hooked on Suchet and Fraser.

A welcome addition to the Poirot audio collection

Loved the start and anyone who has been to Victoria Coach Station in January will easily see how similar the boarding experience now in spite of the 90 years difference despite being technically under cover

This is terribly overwritten and long-winded. I felt like I had travelled every inch of that bus ride. To market this with Agatha Christie’s name is pretty close to fraud.

I never expected to appreciate anyone else stepping into the shoes of Dame Agatha, but Sophie has written a masterful Poirot mystery as Dame Agatha Christie might have written it. The only thing that would have made this audiobook better would have been if Hugh Fraser had done the reading. Having said that, this narrator has done a superb performance. Thank you. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. I was immediately absorbed into the story. Good night.

I normally only listen to David Suchet, Hugh Fraser and Joan Hickson, but I’ve added you to my list, because this was a great reading and I look forward to hearing more tales read by you, thank you

The reader is very gifted. He has read other actual AC’s as Poirot and is extremely good and keeping the consistency of the characters.
I won’t get into the AC politics though… 😅
