This Li-Po Jump Starter by Akaigu Holds its Own.
I put it to the ultimate test just like I have with the other jump starters I have reviewed.

This one is unique in that the circuitry for the jump leads is built into the unit itself. Most of the other ones on the market have a big bulky box on the jump leads that holds the capacitors and Go/No-Go circuitry. This makes this jump starter much more compact, both in and out of the case, while also making it easier to use. The only minor downside to this is that it takes the jump circuit longer to cool down in between jump starts. As you can see in my video though, It jump started a diesel truck with a bad engine and and old boat battery, so you don't really need to worry about not being able to start something that just has a low battery.

~Test Setup~
- Ford 6.0L Diesel Truck With a Bad Motor (Motor does start and run with good batteries)
- Both Starting Batteries Disconnected and Replaced with and Old Boat Battery (The Same One I Have Been Using to Test Other Jump Starters)
- Turned Ignition On to Engage Glow Plugs and Attempt Start Without the Jump Starter
- Truck Would Not Start
- Re-engaged Glow Plugs, Checked Voltage and Attached Jump Starter
- Truck Started Right Up
+Success!!!+

I also show the testing of the USB output. It is capable of about 2.3 amps before dropping below the 4.5 volt safety mark.

I also tested the mAh capacity of the internal Li-Po cells using a constant current load resistor set at 2amps. I got a corrected total capacity of 13,984 mAh. That is within 200 mAh of the stated capacity. This is normal and shows that there are indeed 16,000 mAh cells inside.

I also showed the 12V accessory output capable of powering an AC inverter and a 60 equivalent CFL light bulb. This is very respectable. I did notice, though, that the output is unregulated and up around full charge I was getting about 16.5V, which is more than some 12V appliances like.

Overall I think this is a great jump starter and it holds its own against all of the others I have tested. Having the jump start circuitry inside the box itself makes it more convenient and compact without adding any weight or bulk. If it can jump start my test truck, it can certainly jump start any car.

you will not get an iPad to charge with 2 amps with 4.5 volts.
I would call it a fail at 2 amps
