I know this story..the ships that Vasco da Gama used were the biggest ships in Europe at that time but the Indian trader ships that accompanied him during his journey to India from Kenya were 4 times bigger than gama's ships. He was so mesmerised by the sheer size of those ships and couldn't believe that humans can actually built such big and advanvce ships.

The Indian sailor was international trader who use to trade via sea routes ! I had read it that Vaso did mention him as Krishna in his voyage books and that the Indian merchant's ship was 10 times bigger than his and he was literally escorted to India in rough seas !

Name of that indian sailor is kanji malamji who was gujrati merchant and also Vasco digama writes in his general that kanjis ship was 4 times bigger than vasco digamas ship and I keep my ship surrounded by kanjis ship so bug waves can't harm him

But we thought in our school *Vasco dig gama * first found the India sea route. Our history wiped out the facts and Western scripted their history on our lands. Thank you Keerthi for your hard your dig in our history .

Not just that. This trader had to use his ships to protect Gama’s ships from being wrecked into pieces by the oceans and bad weather. He literally formed a circle around Gama’s ships with his much larger and stronger ships.

I am sure that Indian sailor treated him as a Guest, didn't have slightest clue the evil intent he had, and what's about to come.

Long before the Vasco da Gamma the Romans did trading with India. It was Octavian who followed Cleopatra in Egypt. He stayed back n started trades with Africa then India.pls watch documentary "Roman Trade with India "by Kings n Generals. It opens a Pandora's box of ancient India.
